Paper Automata | Swinging Sail -港町の風景-

神戸をモチーフにした紙からくりシリーズ “神戸ハイから”。
切り抜き・折り目加工済みなので、はさみを使わず組み立てられます。
神戸の港の風景をイメージしてつくりました。
組み立てると、船の振り子になります。
振り子を動かすと、風を受けた帆船が波間に漂うように、船が上下に動き、波は左右に動きます。
静かに揺れる穏やかな港の風景を切り取りました。

The paper automata series ‘Kobe Hi Kara’ is based on the motif of Kobe. Pre-cut and pre-folded, so no need for scissors. I designed it to resemble the scenery of the port of Kobe.
When put together, it becomes a pendulum of sailing ship. When the pendulum is moved, the sailing ship moves up and down and the waves move left and right, as if a sailing ship caught in the wind is drifting between the waves.
The image captures a calm harbour scene with a quiet rocking motion.
